Proclamation Institute Zambia (PIZ)

Region
Kitwe, Zambia
Proclamation Institute Zambia (PIZ) was established in 2016 by Andrew Muwowo to equip Zambian men and women with expository preaching and teaching skills, following the Cornhill model he trained under in London. Based near Kitwe (population c. 735,000+) and following the Cornhill syllabus and UCCF doctrinal statement, PIZ offers 1- and 2-year residential courses and has graduated over 140 students from diverse theological backgrounds, including some from the Maheba Refugee Settlement (population 20,000–40,000) roughly 270km away. Beyond residential training, PIZ runs district-level courses for local church leaders — recently reaching about 80 attendees — plus an annual conference on expository preaching. The institute’s long-term aim is to raise up generations of Zambian preachers who handle Scripture accurately and can recognise and counter false teaching, grounded in 2 Timothy 2:15.

“
Since completing the course some of our alumni who have worked with their local churches in church planting have spoken about the great benefit of the PIZ training in helping them teach and apply the Bible in the context that they find themselves in.
