Nigel Styles


Nigel Styles has been a church pastor for most of his working life, and then was the Director of the Proclamation Trust and Director of the Cornhill Training Course for eight years until summer 2024. He now works with Cross Connections full-time, visiting, training, supporting these frontline Bible teaching ministries across the world, He is author of two volumes in PT’s Get Preaching series, and preaches regularly in the UK and beyond. He is enthusiastic to hear the Bible taught well and loves watching its impact in people’s lives. Nigel is married to Lizzie, and they have six children and ten grandchildren. He loves music, theatre and contemporary fiction and wishes he’d been a children’s TV presenter!

Richard Borgonon

The founder of the Christian charity The Rock Foundation, it was Richard’s vision that first started Cross Connections. For many years this charity has supplied the confidential infrastructure for Cross Connections around the world. Richard is actively involved in teaching the bible via The WORD One to One (www.theword121.com) , a means for any believer to share the Gospel of John in a socially acceptable way.

Nancy Benham MBE

Nancy has over 30 years overseas experience in the diplomatic, commercial and international charity sectors. She has seen first-hand the importance of sound Biblical teaching by trained pastors in many local churches in Africa and Asia. As Chair of the Advisory Board, Nancy is keen to continue the legacy set by the founders of Cross Connections. She is keen to find more partners to give and pray to support the global ministries.  In her spare time, Nancy looks after her 5 grandchildren, is involved in her local church in Ripon, sings and finds interesting walks for the dog!

Simeon Seamer

Enthusiastically telling a new generation of young people all about the exciting work of Cross Connections has been Sim's focus since joining the team in 2017.  He is an active member of Immanuel Church Brentwood in Essex and works as an underwriter in the London insurance market.

Alistair Blundy

Ali joined the Board of Cross Connections in 2025. Having spent time living in The Gambia in 2013 to support local church pastors, he is enthusiastic about grass roots ministry, especially in less well-known corners of the world. He is a member of Crossway Stratford and runs an aviation insurance company during the week.

Shay Owode

Shay joined the Board of Cross Connections in 2025, bringing over a decade of experience in Banking, Private Equity, and Pensions within the City of London. Passionate about integrating faith and finance, he is actively involved in several Christian charities, including Gospel Patrons, Titus Trust, London City Mission, Christian Concern, and 500K International. Raised in East London, he fellowships at Crossway Stratford and is committed to serving both his local community and the wider Christian network. In his professional role, Shay works in Corporate Pensions Trusteeship, guiding trustees and corporate boards on UK defined benefit pension schemes to secure the best outcomes for scheme members. 

Elizabeth Price

Elizabeth studied Modern Languages at university, during which time she joined an IFES team in Paris, sparking a lasting enthusiasm for cross-cultural Bible ministry. After graduating, she worked as an investment analyst and fund manager, asking awkward questions and holding senior management of international companies to account. More recently, she had the privilege of studying on the Cornhill Training Course. She now works part-time for a London City lunchtime Bible talks ministry. Elizabeth and her husband Simon are members of Grace Church Dulwich and have three children

Katy Widarto

Katy joined the Cross Connections team in April 2023, and is involved in engaging and communicating with the ministries and engaging with Cross Connections supporters. During the week she is also an administrator for the International Cornhill and Cornhill Plus courses at the Proclamation Trust.

Beth Buchanan

Beth joined the Board of Cross Connections in 2026 and serves as Director of Mission Personnel with Crosslinks, leading the team that sends and supports mission personnel in 40 countries and travelling regularly to visit ministries and provide pastoral support. Previously, she practised as a solicitor for 26 years specialising in healthcare law and, in 2010, served in Kigali, Rwanda with Africa Inland Mission. Beth attends Dundonald Church, Raynes Park, London, where she leads a Bible study and serves on the Missions Committee, and enjoys reading and gardening.
